For the record, I would like only one person to be apart of one squad at any given time. This'll make filling the squads up hard without enough manpower but I'd rather have them not filled up at all if one person is going to belong to a million squads that he barely takes a part in.
Possible squads: salvage, support/bomber, supporting electronic warfare, logistics
Salvage squad - Considering the fact that after we ambush and destroy our enemies, we will have maybe picked up the cargo if it hasn't already been destroyed in the explosion. Explosions do not destroy all things however, and we must get our hands on every UEC we can get from the raids. A salvage squad would be able to clean up and scrub after the fight, to make it look like nothing had happened, and pick up every piece of scrap it can get to sell. A dedicated squad would be able to do this quickly and quietly to maximize our stealth in that system as well as our profits.
Ships involved: Freelancer, Cutlass, Surveyor, (Orion maybe?), (Hull C maybe?), Constellation, Aurora and variants, and maybe an upgraded 300i and variants.
Supporting/bomber squad - Used to support a fleet, or dogfighting squads taking on something that is way out of their league, such as an idris or a heavy convoy. This squad will only come out when actually needed, not daily like the shadow squad, since it doesn't have any supporting dogfighters. These bombers are god at long range, but dead meat if put into an actual dogfight.
Ships involved: Retaliator, Gladiator.
Supporting/electronic warfare - Used to support a fleet, or dogfighting squads that need an edge in a fight. There has only been pure speculation on electronic warfare, but I'm sure there will be some way to affect enemy performance in combat in a negative way.
Ships involved: 300i and variants, Aurora and variants, Constellation, and Freelancer. Perhaps an Idris can help out.
Logistics/Scouts (information gathering) - In order to have accurate timing and great precision in striking at our enemy, we will need the best and the brightest working to gather information; whether it be about a route we're taking or another organization that we plan on striking at. A squad dedicated to this will make sure that we always take the best option available, which in turn is the most profitable for you, or the most hurtful for our enemies.
Ships involved: Not anything in specific, but one that is preferably fast and with upgraded radar/scanning abilties.
Feel free to post suggestions.
