Okay.. So we have a new forum now. Could definitely use some serious tweaking, but for now it is better than nothing. I will slowly make changes to make it look a little more appealing as time goes on. For now, it is what it is lol. We are up to 16 members now! Silentbob (one of our newest members) is a long time friend of mine and may take an officer role later on down the road after the game comes out. But for now I am sure he will just be "around" every once in a while. As for our other members we have a roster that is coming along nicely thanks to the help of DAUnholyKnight. Anyone wanting to look at the roster can do so here: RDCS Roster We have member names, timezones, current "role", activity level and the ships that they currently have. Obviously this will start to change as more of the game gets released and members start to take on different roles and acquire new ships etc.. Now as for things to come.. The next goal is to get the TS3 server up and running. This should be done on Friday. Today turned into a sleep fest so I didn't really get as much done as I would have liked to. Oh well.. shit happens. Now after the TS3 server is done I would like to start on a weekly Newsletter. I use the term "weekly" loosely here.. It may not be exactly every 7 days but something close to it. It will probably be posted here on the forums. I would like that thread to primarily be a place where I can discuss any changes to member roles, our plans for the future, any news about SC that have been released, and anything of the like. Hopefully I can answer any questions people have there as well. I do this in the hopes that someone who may have the same question that hasn't had the chance to ask me yet can get an answer. Now.. Get posting!  |

We have a temp. one for now. Not a lot of people on at the moment so I am not seeing the huge need for an established one of our own just yet. As for the not many people being on, I know people are busy but this is the key time to have our Org. on the front page under most active. When it comes time for the DFM when the larger organizations have more of their members on we aren't going to be able to compete for a spot on the front page. I have been busy the last couple days but I plan on being on all day for the next two whether I am at my computer or not. I would really like to see us back on the front page for now. If anyone is willing to lend a hand it would be appreciated.

RSI said that the org drop there working on will have private forums for peoples orgs do we plan on moveing to that when it comes out or staying here

So with the DFM rapidly approaching we are getting close to the point where I want to start a weekly newsletter (give or take a couple days). I just want to use that to keep people informed about what is going on with the Organization and what things we plan to have coming up. Also at the start of the DFM I will also have our TS3 server up and going. For now the temporary was is still what we are using. So for the last week or so we have had a nice little spurt in applications and we have gained some new members. So far our growth has been pretty steady I would say. For those of you that don't know I am also working on a potential merger with another Syndicate that has 9 members. Their leader has 6 out of the other 8 people on board. If he can get the last 2 we will be welcoming 9 new members to our ranks. If not we will see what happens. At the very least we will have a new ally. As far as allies go we currently are allied with 4 other Organizations and they are as follows: The Inquisition (currently at 84 members), The Organization (currently 18 members), Bloodclaw Pack (currently 20 members) and Bloodbound Syndicate (currently 9 members). For those of you that are new feel free to message me on the forums if you have any questions or you can leave any questions as a reply. So as for the meeting we will be having on TS later I have talked with Unholy about some talking points for that meeting. As of right now we have compiled a small list. If there is anything else you would like to add let me know ahead of time please.
1. Bengal Carrier Alliance (Pros/Cons)
2. Current Alliances (Potential mergers/Loose vs Strong Alliances)
3. Position Changes (Structure of Leadership and People in Those Positions)
4. Opinions On Cell Leadership or Other Potential Chains of Command

Okay... So for those of you who knew about the inside joke with Sam, it backfired on us. We should have just booted him rather than keeping him around to kill in the PU. While it was funny, it cost us a good member (IOStream). This is the message IOStream sent to me after I realized he left the Organization.
"Hi Spike,
have been looking for you all day man. Sorry, wanted to contact you when you were on. The reason I had to leave was due to a conflict with one of the members. I am not getting along with this samsoup kid at all. Today out of the blue he insinuated I was some sort of paedophile! No joke. seriously!
The conversation started out something about you and him both living in Ohio. When he heard that I was moving to Toronto, he said, 'Oh you will be 1 hour away from me and Spike'. Just as a friendly gesture I said 'Oh cool, maybe I'll come and visit you guys sometime'. He then tells me 'Oh that's creepy. you sound like a paedophile'. Naturally that really ticked me off. I know that he is just a kid but just found his manner of speaking and these implications a bit obnoxious. As he is now a ranking member of the syndicate, I feel extremely uncomfortable being a part of it now. You seem nice enough and I sincerely hope the organization does well in the future but I don't think this is the right place for me.

So obviously after having heard about this Samsoup was immediately booted. I have messaged IOStream letting him now about the massive misunderstanding that had taken place and the fake position that Samsoup was given as an inside joke. If we are lucky he will see the error in timing and excuse us for not booting Samsoup after the first couple incidents we had with him and come back to the Organization. If he chooses not to it is our loss.

Damn that kid....I hope IOStream is okay with everything...none of us really cared for sam since we all felt fishy about him. Hopefully things can work out and fix in the end. I will say personally I am sorry to all the members that didn't know what was going on and I'm sorry to you IOStream for having to even deal with "it".

feel a bit loss on resources as IOStream had good number of ships,,,that samsoup guys seem to abit tryhard..no offence but we in a loss here,,just my 2 cent

IOStream has rejoined the syndicate as of this morning for me. I'm sure Spike and Kal will give him his roles and rank back. I personally enjoyed the sam inside joke though.  |
