Welcome Mercs, Pirates, Soliders of Fortune!
I'm absolutely stoked for the FPS module since they released the latest details. On that note, I bet we'll be doing a lot of boarding so I'm curious if we shouldn't be honing these skills in an FPS so we can hit the ground running when the PU goes live.
I'm new to the verse and I'm currently practicing in AC, but I'd also be interested in getting together in a FPS like Planetside 2 or Arma 3. So what FPS games are y'all into here? Do we have a working TS server btw?

The only FPS I play are the COD games. And only on play station. Been playing them since world at war. However I read that fps module will be nowhere close to call of duty. I did play a bit of the last of us multiplayer. I loved the slower more tactical play style so I'm excited for the star citizen fps.

I never played planet side 2, but seems like its a very popular game. Star citizen's FPS side will have a steeper learning curve than most. I hope I get a good tax return so I can afford my computer so I can practice.

I can barley run the hanger module, might want to invest in a new GPU, also is there a list of the rankings I see we have new rankings but I don't know the orders!

Indeed, it was quite badass. Its been a few years since I played any FPS regularly. I picked up Far Cry 3 on steam this weekend so getting ready for our boarding party shenanigans!

what type of pirate do yall plan on being. the kill everyone on board, the safe passage tax, or take the ship and let the crew go. i plan on the last

i know the first thing im doing in the PU is to get me and my friends hired as crew on some idris and take it over from the inside, then just store it in a hanger somewhere untill we need a disposable warship

what type of pirate do yall plan on being. the kill everyone on board, the safe passage tax, or take the ship and let the crew go. i plan on the last i will choose the last also. safe passage tax might require more planning on our part if we tax everyone that passes by. but if we have a weak merchant organization close to us, we could tax them as you said. I hope it does not have to come to killing, but if they don't eject and surrender the ship then there will be no time for negotiations once we board them. |
